Accommodation
This single story house has been completely renovated to a very high standard. The house is arranged over one floor. Bedrooms are located at either end of the property. Both bedrooms have ample storage space. Each bedroom features an old wood burning tiled stove.
The kitchen is again brand new and hand made. It is fully equipped for six people. There is also a small breakfast table in the kitchen that seats four people. The bathroom floors have been newly tiled. The original wooden floors have been restored in the bedrooms and the living / dining area.
The living area is quite large and houses two sofas that can be made into beds. There is a large dining table, as well as a TV.
Both the main bathroom and the en suite are clean and modern. There is a bath with over head shower in the main bathroom and a shower cabinet in the en-suit bathroom.
This cottage can be used throughout the year as oil fired central heating has been installed.
Location
The village of Bodonci lies in the Goricko nature park to the west side of Prekmurje near to the Austrian border.
Bodonci is a quite rural village allowing you to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, yet it is also just 15 minutes by car from the main town of Murska Sobata. The village hosts a couple of local bars a pizza place as well as a very good restaurant with a children’s play area.
At the front of the cottage on the opposite side of the road is a beautiful church, and round the back of the cottage are meadows of grass with lovely views down the hill.
The Lendava lake near Krasci can be reached by cycle in just 20 minutes. It is a man made reservoir which gathers water from the Lendava stream and so protects the low lying villages and Murska Sobota from flooding. It’s a lovely area for walking, picnics and nature watching.
